Presentation of the GNgrup award for best CSR student
October 1, 2025
The Consell de Mallorca has awarded GNGRUP the project management contract for the construction of the new fire station in Santanyí.
With a cost of €5,264,500 and a completion period of twelve months, the new infrastructure will have a permanent staff of one corporal and five firefighters and will reduce response times in the event of a fire or emergency in the northernmost part of the island. In addition, the fire station will be equipped with different types of vehicles: a heavy rural fire engine, a light urban fire engine and an off-road vehicle.
The future Santanyí fire station, covering an area of 1,500 square metres, will have three distinct areas. A main area, on two floors, where the administrative spaces (communications room, office, etc.) and the personal use area (kitchen, dining room, lounge, bedrooms, gym, etc.) will be located. An area for the vehicle fleet, which will include a garage, workshop and general storage areas. It should be noted that the entrance and exit for vehicles will be separate from the main entrance, to avoid interference and allow vehicles to leave quickly in case of emergency. The fire station will also have an area for decontaminating vehicles, which will be located next to the firefighter decontamination area. This will be where firefighters and vehicles enter after an operation and where personal protective equipment and trucks will be disinfected.
