Firefighters and Engineers, working together for a safer industry

We would like to thank the Directorate General of Industry and Industrial Estates of the GOIB for organising a very enriching meeting between the COGITI Balears | Official College of Industrial Technical Engineers of the Balearic Islands, the Official College of Industrial Engineering of the Balearic Islands, the Bombers de Mallorca and the Bombers de l’Ajuntament de Palma, with a clear objective: to improve the response to fires in industrial environments.
Real experiences, challenges faced by emergency teams and the need to adapt extinguishing plans to the reality of the industries on our islands were discussed.

This meeting marks the beginning of a much-needed collaboration between those who design and plan industrial facilities and those who act when an emergency occurs.
